The third edition of the Congress on Bankruptcy and Company Law, organized by the Fundación Universitat Jaume I-Empresa, will bring together in Benicàssim, on September 23 and 24, 2021, professionals from the legal and economic sector interested in the bankruptcy world.

One year after the entry into force of the Consolidated Text of the Bankruptcy Law, this forum will constitute a unique occasion to discuss in depth about this first anniversary of the validity of the norm, at the same time that it will serve to analyze bankruptcy and corporate regulation « emergency ”, issued as a result of COVID-19.

The Castellón College of Economists, the Provincial Tourism Board and Trademat Europe sponsor this congress, which has the collaboration of the Benicàssim City Council, a municipality that has hosted the forum since the first edition.

On June 1, the deadline for registering for the meeting at a reduced rate will end.

Throughout the two days it is expected to address current issues, such as ways to speed up the sale of production units inside and outside the competition ("prepack"), along with other "classic" topics, but which continue to be of great interest practical, such as the way to effectively settle (and in a reasonable time) bankruptcy proceedings or the problems generated by credits against the estate in a "limited mass" scenario, such as, by definition, bankruptcy.

As in previous editions, the insolvency of natural persons and the benefit of the second chance, or the labor aspects within the bankruptcy, will be equally present in the debate, considering that they continue to generate interest and many questions.

Along with a panel of experts on the latest developments in corporate law, a table is also reserved to discuss, from a prospective perspective, the reforms currently underway and, from a desiderative perspective, the reforms that bankruptcy law should undertake in the near future.

Legal experts and Magistrates Judges of Commercial Courts from various parts of Spain will participate as speakers.
