FUE-UJI's Board of Trustees Meeting

The Universitat Jaume I-Empresa Foundation has held the Plenary Meeting of its Board of Trustees, in which the 2023 Action Plan and some of the most outstanding activities carried out by the FUE-UJI in recent months have been presented.

The rector and president of the Fundación Universitat Jaume I-Empresa, Eva Alcón, has led the plenary meeting, in which she has thanked the support of the FUE-UJI in the actions of international positioning of the University and obtaining European funding, through the management assignments of the Vice-Rectors for Research and International Relations, where the Foundation's European projects office, EuroFUE-UJI, has played an essential role. In addition, it has also underlined the collaboration in the deployment of micro-credentials, an innovative learning formula promoted by the Office of the Vice President for Studies and Permanent Training.

The Fundación Universitat Jaume I-Empresa has among its main functions the promotion of activities related to the postgraduate training of the UJI and permanent training, the transfer of technology, the management of student internships and scholarships for graduates, the promotion of international projects and the organization of congresses and conferences.

Carlos Cabrera, executive president of the FUE-UJI, has expressed his satisfaction for the incorporation to the Board of a strategic entity such as the Castellón Airport and for the different business collaboration protocols signed in 2022 with organizations such as the British School of Vila-real, the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces or the employer association ASCER. Through a very representative video, he has mentioned the most notable activities of the 2022 Activity Report Advance. 

ACTION PLAN 2023 FUE-UJI

Gloria Serra, manager of the FUE-UJI, has presented the lines of action planned for 2023, the year in which the Foundation will celebrate its 30th anniversary with various events.

In the area of ​​European and International Projects, the EuroFUE-UJI proposes, among other objectives, to reinforce the line of collaboration with the Universitat Jaume I through the management assignment for Erasmus + projects, Horizon Europe and the continuation of the international Study Abroad program .

With regard to the area of ​​technology transfer, the priorities are to improve interaction with the socioeconomic environment and promote the transfer of knowledge generated by the University.

Regarding training, some of the objectives for 2023 are the promotion of micro-credentials as a new format that is more flexible, innovative and adapted to the training needs of the labor market, the digitization of the training offer and the recruitment of new students.

About the extracurricular internship programs and scholarships for UJI graduates, the Foundation aspires to enter into 200 new agreements with organizations that host UJI students.

During 2022, the FUE-UJI plans to contribute to the consolidation of the Universitat Jaume I as a meeting place and congress organization, providing its support in the comprehensive management of events with a high specialization in the organization of virtual events.
