The rector and president of the Universitat Jaume I-Empresa Foundation, Eva Alcón, began the plenary meeting by referring to the three-decade trajectory of the FUE-UJI and its reason for being "an entity that in these 30 years has contributed as a strategic ally of the UJI, to strengthen the connection between the campus and its environment and to bring the training, research and innovation capabilities of the University closer to society. Through the FUE-UJI we can know and meet the training needs for professional retraining and, in addition, the Foundation helps us to strengthen the internationalisation strategy and to position the UJI and its research groups on the international scene. An alliance that has in the adhesions of companies and entities to its Board of Trustees one of its main signs of identity".

He also thanked the 35 patron entities and companies, the users of the FUE-UJI and the university community for their participation in the activities that have taken place to celebrate 30 years of history, "events that have served to show everyone's collaboration in the Foundation's project as a meeting place between the campus and the socio-economic fabric".
