The signing of the general protocol will allow the development of projects of common interest

The Fundación Universitat Jaume I-Empresa and the Valencian Association of Farmers (AVA-ASAJA) have signed a general collaboration protocol that will allow the development of projects of common interest in the fields of training, knowledge transfer, research or any other type of initiatives linked to the areas of action of both entities.

Eva Alcón, rector of the Jaume I University and president of the FUE-UJI, and Cristóbal Aguado, president of AVA, have signed the agreement.

Carlos Cabrera, executive president of the FUE-UJI; Jesús Lancis, vice-rector for Research and Transfer of the UJI; Celestino Recatalá, vice president of AVA-ASAJA; Gloria Serra, manager of the FUE-UJI; and Adrián Lobo, general secretary of AVA-ASAJA Castellón, attended the signing ceremony of the protocol.

The Valencian Association of Farmers was born in 1977 under the Regulatory Law of the Right to Trade Union Association. AVA-ASAJA quickly established itself as a representative of the Valencian agricultural sector, became part of the Valencian Business Confederation and expanded its range of professional services. Over the last few years, the growth of AVA-ASAJA has been unstoppable both in terms of claiming leadership and in negotiating capacity and representing the interests of the Valencian countryside on a regional, national and even European scale.
