After two years of implementation, the Erasmus+ START UP for Development project, coordinated by the FUE-UJI, has published its results. The project has ended with the last meeting of the consortium in Türkiye last December. The main result of this Erasmus+ project is a training guide on the concept of smart cities/towns, whose purpose is the understanding of this concept by municipalities that implement smart solutions in their environment.

In addition to having the FUE-UJI as coordinator, the START UP consortium is made up of four other entities from different countries: the private training and tourism institution Kocatürk Danismanlik (Turkey), the ARID Association (Poland), the Regional Development Agency and Business Support Center for Small and Medium Enterprises (Bulgaria) and the Non-Profit Society for Alternative Innovative Development (Greece).

The results of the project have been presented in the 5 partner countries that make up START UP for Development in their corresponding Multiplier Events. On Friday, October 28, the Multiplier Event of the project was held in Spain, which brought together more than 60 participants. The results presented include the training platform, totally free and accessible from the project's website, in which a course for trainers is implemented that can give municipalities a clear and complete explanation of what smart cities/villages mean in their specific environment.

During these sessions, the training materials developed were also presented in the different partner countries: Smart Management: Government Organization, Citizen Participation, Use of Technology, Smart Environment, focused on smart environmental quality management systems to improve energy efficiency and the quality of the environment in cities, Smart Transportation – Smart Mobility: Smart Parking, infrastructure for bike lanes, smart card and Smart Life. These modules include case examples of good practices in smart cities and different interactive activities and games to deepen and support the learning offered by each of the modules.

In addition to these multiplying events, the published training material has been disseminated through 5 webinars and Erasmus Days 2022 to present the project and the different modules in all the partner countries, in which activities related to the smart management, environment, transportation and smart life.
