The Foundation presents the 2020 Activity Report and 2020 Annual Accounts Report

The Fundación Universitat Jaume I- Empresa has held the meeting of the Plenary of its Board of Trustees in virtual format. During the meeting, the 2020 Activities Report and the 2020 Accounts report have been presented.

Eva Alcón, rector of the Jaume I University and president of the FUE-UJI, was in charge of directing the video-meeting, which was attended by Carlos Cabrera, executive president, and Gloria at the headquarters of the Foundation Serra, manager.

The rector stressed that "the FUE-UJI has been able to adapt to a demanding scenario due to the impact of the covid in order to maintain this dual function of bringing the training and research capacities we have at the UJI to society and, at the same time, make the needs of the productive sectors reach the University ”.

For his part, Carlos Cabrera has presented the most relevant data of the activity carried out by the different areas and has made a balance of the services provided until December 31, 2020. Cabrera has made special mention of the effort made by the staff of the Fundación and the collaborators «we have been able to find creative solutions to the challenges imposed by a situation as unexpected as it is challenging. It has been a year of learning that has made us much stronger to face the future ». Next, Gloria Serra reported on the Foundation's Annual Accounts.

Among the most outstanding events in 2020 was the adhesion of the companies NAYAR SYSTEMS and RECORD GO to the Board of the FUE-UJI, which already has 33 patron entities (after the incorporation in 2021 of the CEV and MACER).

In the training area, the FUE-UJI organized 57 training activities that added more than 1,190 students, transforming a large part of the courses into online and streaming formats and designing new proposals such as the online training pills that were offered free of charge at the most restrictive period of the crisis. Regarding the Extracurricular Internship Program for UJI students, a total of 580 annexes of internships were managed.

Within the framework of the Experience Program, of scholarships for graduates, 331 scholarship agreements were managed for university graduates, in a total of 429 agreements in force with companies / entities.

During 2020 the FUE-UJI organized 13 events of different kinds (congresses, conferences, workshops) with a total of 2,072 participants and has specialized in the design and implementation of virtual meetings, offering technical assistance in various events carried out by streaming .

The EuroFUE-UJI office participated, throughout 2020, in more than 70 forums at national and international level and has implemented a total of 15 European projects, of which 7 have been approved in 2020 within the Erasmus + program in the call April 2020 on Strategic Associations in the field of education and training, and Strategic Associations in the field of youth, in addition to 1 project approved in the call of the EuropeAid program with Argentina. In addition, it launched the cycle of sessions on EU financing mechanisms "Europe 2027 Work Breakfasts" aimed at Trustees of the FUE-UJI, with the collaboration of Caixalmassora.
