Last Thursday, 30 November, Castellón Airport hosted the third edition of the Aeroport de Castelló Business Forum.  The event plays a unifying role for the aeronautical and aerospace industry in the Valencian Community, with the aim of stimulating its development, as well as positioning Castellón Airport as a strategic infrastructure for the reception of initiatives linked to the sector.

The Universitat Jaume I Foundation wanted to accompany the Aeroport de Castelló team in the celebration of this new meeting, which was opened by Vicente Martínez Mus, General Director of Airports of the Generalitat and the intervention of Justo Vellón, General Director of Castellón Airport. 

Round table discussions on airlines as key players in the connectivity of the territory, the role of institutions in improving air connectivity and possible models of collaboration, and the importance of the business community in improving air connectivity were the topics addressed during the morning session.

A presentation by PLD Space, a Spanish company that develops reusable space rockets, and another on the incubation of the aerospace industry gave way to the afternoon sessions, which included a panel discussion on the impact of the ESA BIC programmes on the Spanish aerospace industry and another entitled Innovative impulse, from the institutions to the market.

Castellón Airport will be part of the FUE-UJI Board of Trustees from 2022, thus showing its commitment to the Foundation and the Universitat Jaume I by supporting all the initiatives and projects they develop.
