The May newsletter from elfue.com highlights, first and foremost, the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Universitat Jaume I-Empresa Foundation (FUE-UJI), where the Activity Report and Annual Accounts for 2025 were presented, emphasizing the Foundation's role as a link between the university and the socio-economic environment. During the session, the promotion of initiatives related to continuing education, university micro-credentials, knowledge transfer, and connections with the business sector was also highlighted.
 
The newsletter also covers FUE-UJI's participation in the 6th edition of the Universitat Jaume I Business Fair, an event aimed at promoting employability and fostering connections between students and companies in Castellón, in which prominent sponsoring organizations participated.
 
Among the most relevant content is the closing of the UJI's UniDiversitat program, which focuses on job training and the inclusion of young people with intellectual, developmental, and/or autism spectrum disorders (ASD), as well as various training initiatives developed in conjunction with the Civil Guard related to autonomous photovoltaic energy systems and electric batteries.
 
The bulletin also highlights the recognition of Eva Alcón, Rector of the UJI and President of the FUE-UJI (University Student Federation of the UJI), who received the Mediterranean Woman Award for her career and institutional leadership.
 
In the area of ​​training, the bulletin mentions the launch of new academic programs promoted by the UJI, such as the Diploma of Expertise in Innovation Management and Productivity Improvement, the micro-credential in Microbiota and Clinical Practice, and training in the Development of Healthy and Resilient Organizations, all aimed at strengthening professional specialization and continuing education.
 
Furthermore, EUROFUE-UJI continues to advance its European Strategy sessions with CECASOS, focusing on strengthening participation in European projects and the international reach of university research.
 
Finally, the call for papers for the 29th UJI International Congress on University-Business Tourism is now open. The congress will be held under the theme “Slow Tourism: Connecting with the Essence.”
