The Universitat Jaume I-Empresa Foundation (FUE-UJI) held its Board of Trustees plenary meeting, during which the 2025 Activity Report and the entity's Annual Accounts were presented.
Eva Alcón, Rector of Universitat Jaume I and President of FUE-UJI, opened the session before more than forty trustee representatives and emphasized, in her last Board meeting as President of the Foundation, that "as a space for connection and engagement with our community, I would like to highlight the important work carried out in recent years by the Foundation team, supporting the University and promoting the incorporation of new organizations that add value to the university project." In this regard, she noted that in 2025, the company Kerakoll joined the FUE-UJI Board of Trustees, bringing the total to 34 companies and entities, "a very significant number that demonstrates the strength of FUE-UJI."
Referring to her time as president of the FUE-UJI, Eva Alcón emphasized "the significant work done in promoting initiatives aimed at continuing education and professional specialization." She highlighted the management of micro-credentials, "a flexible training program adapted to the demands of society." She also mentioned "the support of EUROFUE-UJI in the international positioning of the research generated by our research groups. At the European level, in recent years, EUROFUE-UJI has worked with 84 research groups and university institutes to facilitate their participation in European R&D&I projects, also contributing to the preparation of 60 proposals," she noted.
For her part, Ana Olucha, executive president of the Foundation, presented the most significant data on the activities carried out in recent months. Olucha emphasized "the Foundation's role as a bridge between Universitat Jaume I and an ecosystem of companies and organizations that drive the development of projects closely connected to the realities of the productive sector." She also thanked the sponsoring organizations and other organizations linked to the FUE-UJI "for the trust they have placed in our work."
Following this, Gloria Serra, the Foundation's manager, presented the Foundation's Annual Accounts, which included a favorable audit report and a positive result for the 2025 fiscal year.
Sebastián Pla, president of the Social Council and vice president of the Foundation; Sofía Garné, Secretary of the Social Council and Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the FUE-UJI, also attended the session, which served to present the initiatives and programs promoted by the Foundation until December 31, 2025.
Among last year's activities, the consolidation of the FUE-UJI Meeting Hour program stands out. This program, aimed at sponsoring companies and organizations, has reached its 14th edition, with nearly 350 attendees.
In 2025, among the actions to promote the University's research offerings and support knowledge transfer management, the FUE-UJI assisted the UJI in fostering knowledge transfer in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
In the area of training, the FUE-UJI managed 70 training programs with over 590 students, and its support for the implementation of the UJI Microcredits Plan stands out, with the management of 23 microcredits and 742 enrolled students. Regarding the UJI student Extracurricular Academic Internship Program, 466 internships were managed, and 126 new agreements were signed with companies and organizations.
During 2025, the FUE-UJI participated in the organization of 13 scientific conferences and congresses with a total of 1,158 attendees, including the 28th edition of the International Congress on University-Business Tourism.
The EUROFUE-UJI office has advised UJI research groups on the submission of seven project proposals within the framework of the European programs Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe, supported the organization of the Horizon Europe and Erasmus+ Days, and collaborated with UJI in the execution of the institutional Erasmus+ EDUC project on European Universities, which has an impact on 200,000 students, 17,500 teaching and research staff members and 13,500 administrative and service staff members.
