The Universitat Jaume I-Business Foundation (FUE-UJI) has been recognised by Networking Directivas Castellón (NDCS) during the gala celebrating the association's 15th anniversary, held on 5 November at the Gran Casino del Grao in Castellón under the slogan "15 years building networks and creating the future". Jesús Lancis, Rector of Universitat Jaume I and President of FUE-UJI, accepted the award on behalf of the Foundation, in recognition of its longstanding relationship and collaboration with the association.

During this institutional tribute, Jesús Lancis was accompanied by Ana Olucha, Executive President of FUE-UJI; Susana Miquel, Vice-Rector for Communication and Participation at Universitat Jaume I; and Andrea Planchadell, Secretary General of UJI. Other members of the Foundation's team, including Nela Gómez, Guillermo Torres and Berta Clausell, also attended the event to join the celebrations and share in the recognition of the work carried out jointly by the two organisations.

The gala also recognised the career of Gloria Serra, Managing Director of FUE-UJI, for her 15 years of involvement and commitment to Networking Directivas Castellón, an association she chaired from 2017 to 2021. During this period, Serra actively contributed to strengthening NDCS and raising its institutional profile, promoting women's presence and participation in key business and social representative bodies. In this context, she served on the Executive Committee of the Business Confederation of the Valencian Community (CEV), was a member of the Social Council of Universitat Jaume I, participated in the Equal Opportunities Service of Castellón City Council and was involved in the Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW), building a career dedicated to raising the profile of women's leadership and promoting equal opportunities.

The relationship between the two organisations reflects a shared vision: to foster professional development, promote female talent and strengthen ties between the university and the business community in Castellón. This collaboration was formalised in May 2023 through the signing of a general cooperation agreement aimed at promoting joint initiatives in areas such as education and training, entrepreneurship, innovation and research, with particular emphasis on women's professional and business development.

Since its establishment in 2011, Networking Directivas Castellón has played a key role in raising the profile of female entrepreneurs, executives and professionals across the province, creating opportunities for networking, exchanging experiences, developing professional connections and fostering business collaboration. The association, currently chaired by M.ª Carmen Miralles, has 57 members and actively participates in various business organisations and representative bodies.

For FUE-UJI, this recognition is a source of great satisfaction and reaffirms its commitment to equal opportunities, talent development and stronger links between universities, businesses and society. These shared objectives underpin the longstanding collaboration between the Foundation and Networking Directivas Castellón.
