The head of the transfer area, Lucía Pallarés, attended a business breakfast organised by the Onda Town Council and Radio Castellón Cadena SER in December. At this meeting, the mayoress of Onda, Carmina Ballester, explained the details of the planning of the European funds, with projects totalling 5 million euros, and explained the keys to the future of the municipality, such as strengthening the ceramics industry lobby, with the aim of asserting its claims in Madrid and Brussels. At the municipal level, the major commitments are focused on pending infrastructures and projects such as the Olympic Forest of Onda, which has already received recognition and will become a reference point.

5 million euros in European funds

"I believe that there is no work that does not benefit the citizens and that does not improve the quality of life of the people of Onda", says the mayoress about the European funds received in the municipality, through which projects such as the renovation of the shopping boulevard on Avenida País Valencià, Avenida Montanejos, the Capamantos road and the plan to transform the old La Campaneta factory into a social and cultural space at the service of the neighbourhoods and associations of Onda have materialised.
