The event stood out for being a day of reunion and learning.
On June 12, the Doctoral School and the Board of Trustees of the Jaume I University celebrated the fifth anniversary of the Master's Degree in Continuing Education in Industrial Process Management, an academic program renowned for its prestigious specialized training, thanks to the perfect combination of its academic and industrial faculty.
Its directors, Gonzalo Campos and Julio Serrano, chaired by Ana Piquer, director of the ESTCE (Educational Education and Training Center) at the Jaume I University, welcomed attendees and thanked the sponsoring companies and their students for their support.
After the opening ceremony, Ricardo Mendoza, director of EFI, along with two fellow Master's students (Cristóbal García and José Navarro), gave a presentation showcasing the benefits of applying knowledge to industrial reality.
The event featured a roundtable discussion, moderated by Mari Carmen Rodríguez, a Master's professor, comprised of representatives from the program's three main pillars: students, teaching staff, and collaborating entities. These included David Gálvez (Sacmi Ibérica) and Héctor Viciedo (Chumillas Technology) as sponsoring companies; Carlos Taus (Huhtamaki, professor) and Antonio Gallardo (UJI, professor); and Juanjo Romero (Euroatomizado, professor), Víctor Mas (Porcelanosa), and Cristian Donate (UBE, professor) as students and alumni.
With a participatory and relaxed format, key issues were addressed, such as the importance of skills, technical knowledge, pedagogical challenges in industry, and the excellent university-business partnership as a driver of talent. These discussions included anecdotes, lessons learned, and proposals for future improvements.
The event not only commemorated a milestone, but also the renewal of a collective commitment to training that combines technical rigor and experiential learning. As highlighted throughout the event, the master's program is not just an academic project, but a constantly evolving community, driven by collaboration and shared leadership.
The day concluded with thanks to those who have contributed to the development of the master's program over the past five years, with a renewed commitment to continue promoting excellent training for business leaders. Finally, a cocktail reception opened where attendees and participants discussed the event's highlights.
